I started in the appliance industry in May of 1996 for Affordable Maytag in Wisconsin Rapids part-time to do deliveries and installs and immediately had a knack for service work on appliances in the shop. Within 6 months I was promoted to full-time and then about 6 months after that my primary focus shifted from deliveries and installs to in-home service calls. I moved on from Affordable Maytag in May of 2001 and went to work for Genuine Maytag in Weyauwega as their service manager, still running service calls and doing most of the shop repairs and reconditioned appliances. In November of 2004, I came back to Affordable Maytag and took over the service department and expanded it into one of the best appliance service centers in central Wisconsin. During my time as the service manager at Affordable Maytag, we expanded our factory authorized warranty coverage to over a dozen brands and also picked up coverage for several extended warranty providers as well. I stayed on at Affordable Maytag until they closed at the end of 2018 and then on January 1st, 2019, Affordable Appliance Repair was born! I am currently factory authorized for warranty service for about 30 brands and do extended warranty service for most of the major retailers in my area.
